Hotel Inmood Aucanada
From the outset, the aim of the project was clear: to bring the hotel in line with the expectations of today’s guests while preserving its Mediterranean character.
To achieve this, Talat defined an integrated engineering strategy that addressed comfort, safety and energy performance as a single, coherent system, rather than as isolated interventions.
In terms of climate control, all existing installations were removed and replaced with a new generation of HVAC systems designed specifically for the different areas of the hotel. Guest rooms, public spaces and back‑of‑house areas were each equipped with differentiated solutions based on usage patterns, occupancy profiles and comfort requirements. This zoning approach created a precise and efficient thermal environment, improving both comfort and energy performance.
Safety was addressed through a fully integrated fire protection system, combining early detection, alarm and water‑based suppression. Manual extinguishers were positioned following a detailed evacuation flow study, ensuring coverage with minimal visual impact. In parallel, an automatic suppression system was installed in the kitchen hood, protecting one of the highest‑risk areas without disrupting day‑to‑day food and beverage operations.
On the electrical side, Talat replaced the main switchboards and renewed the primary distribution lines connecting the hotel buildings, preparing the property for current and future electrical loads. Each room now has a completely new electrical installation, designed to support conventional equipment as well as the growing number of personal devices guests bring with them. The lighting design enhances both safety and the night‑time perception of the hotel’s architecture, creating a more coherent and inviting atmosphere.
For plumbing and telecommunications, a new network was designed and installed to guarantee stable pressure, instant hot water and quiet operation in all guest rooms and service areas. The data network was upgraded to provide high‑speed connectivity that exceeds current hospitality standards, so guests can stay connected without compromising their ability to disconnect and enjoy their stay when they choose to.
All of these systems are supported by a strong focus on energy efficiency. New thermal production units and intelligent interconnection of equipment allow the hotel to optimise energy consumption without sacrificing performance. Fully integrated automation enables the systems to adapt in real time to occupancy levels, outdoor conditions and actual usage patterns, translating into measurable energy savings and improved operational visibility.
Throughout the project, Talat maintained a structured methodology based on monthly certifications and continuous coordination with the hotel’s management team. This approach ensured transparent decision‑making, precise tracking of each project milestone and seamless integration of the works with the hotel’s operational needs.
Today, the 70 rooms at Hotel President represent a new benchmark in comfort for the Balearic hotel sector. Behind the guest experience—silent, individually controlled climate, discreet yet reliable safety systems, robust connectivity and consistent hot water supply—there is an engineering strategy designed to make the hotel more efficient, resilient and future‑ready.
